Bird silhouettes aren't easy.
A lot of study and observation must be put into them! Especially for the wings.
I suggest to look at

As for the sketch, I suggest you working on your lineart. It's a sketch, but it's no excuse to not make it look as pleasant as full works.
A sketch looks nice when the lines are confident, avoid making them so "hairy"! Youd did fantastic here--> RIP Pluto, how about making all your sketches look as nice as that?
Try searching up some line confidence exercises, if done periodically you'll improve very soon.
The composition is very pretty. I love the runes on the wings, it's a really cool idea. I'm sure the final work will be precious.
